Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle was first produced in 1957 and was a big bold departure for Laurent Perrier as this champagne is a non vintage prestige cuvee produced by the blending of three great years. At the time the reasoning behind it was that it was thought this would produce a champagne with a better balance of flavours and this is still true today as it is consistently outstanding and very occasionally in very exceptional years it appears with a vintage label.

Tasting note:

Honeyed, nutty aromas with hints of almonds and freshly baked brioche. Very
forward, yet continues to open for quite some time in the glass. Round and
rich, with an amazing combination of complex elegance and power.
